My favorite part of today was going down to the river and watching part of the Ganesh festival. Families 1st paraded their Ganesh shrine to the river and then performed a final ceremony before submerging their statue of Ganesh into the river. Whilst we were there a family invited to take part in the final blessing of Ganesh. Everyone was extremely friendly and I loved being part of the festivities. The atmosphere was amazing, all the crowds converging at the river creating a hive of activity. I was given so much prasad I felt like I had a 2nd meal.
